Firefighters to launch MDA’s Fill the Boot campaign this week

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County firefighters will soon hit the streets to kick off their annual Fill the Boot fundraising campaign to help fight back against muscle disease.

Money raised will support MDA in an effort to save and improve the lives of people fighting diseases like muscular dystrophy and ALS, which take away the ability to walk, move, smile, talk and even breathe.

Firefighters will be at various intersections across New Hanover County Thursday through Saturday of this week from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day.
