First draft of Brunswick County School’s 5-year strategic plan unveiled at meeting
BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — The first draft of Brunswick County School’s 5-year strategic plan was unveiled by Superintendent Dale Cole during a Board of Education meeting on Tuesday.
The 5-year strategic plan features several key goals, including getting all schools to meet or exceed their expected growth by 2029.
Cole said this plan will have methods to easily determine if the county hits its goals.
“And sometimes I think 5-year strategic plans can be unnecessarily vague,” Cole said. “So I think that is the biggest difference is we’re not trying to be vague. We’re trying to be specific about what we want to do, why and how we’re going to measure success.”
The plan is still be drafted and is expected to be approved at the school board meeting in June.
Several Brunswick County Commissioners also attended the meeting to hear about a presentation on demographics within county schools.
