FIRST ON 3: School bus pulled over, driver undergoes medical evaluation

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A New Hanover County school bus driver is undergoing a medical evaluation after being pulled over for “weaving” while driving this morning, according to a school district spokeswoman.

New Hanover County Dispatch says the call came in just before 7 a.m. on Independence Blvd. near Stedwick Court. That’s between River Road and Echo Farms Blvd.

New Hanover County Schools spokeswoman Valita Quattlebaum says the students stayed on the bus while another driver came to take over the route and take the children to Williston Middle School.
