Flight into ILM makes emergency landing

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A flight coming into Wilmington International Airport had to make an emergency landing in South Carolina Wednesday night.

Airport Authority Director Jon Rosborough said Delta flight #5106 from Atlanta, Georgia to ILM had some mechanical problems while in air. The plane diverted to Columbia and landed safely.

A passenger’s husband told WWAY the flight lost cabin pressure, but the masks did not drop.

The plane did land in Wilmington just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to ILM’s website.
