Flu shots available in New Hanover County

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Health Department starts offering flu shots today.

The clinic is at the department, which is located at 2029 S. 17th Street in Wilmington. You can walk-in from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or you can also call for an appointment. That number is 910-798-6646.

You can get the shot or people two years and older can chose the nasal spray, FluMist.

Health officials say everyone six months and older should be vaccinated. The flu shot protects against four flu strains.
