FOCUS Broadband repair work may knock out services at times this weekend in Brunswick County
BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — FOCUS Broadband says emergency maintenance will take place to repair a critical fiber that was damaged due to construction.
The company says the project is complex, so work will have to be done at multiple times.
The work will impact cable modem service in a large area between the hours of 12:00 am to 6:00 am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
During these times, access to all telephone, cable TV, and Internet services will be unavailable as repairs are being made.
The affected customers include all cable modem users north of Shallotte (Town Creek, Bolivia, Prospect, Bell Swamp), as well as those in Holden Beach, Midway, and Sunset Harbor.
Repair crews will work as quickly as possible to make the needed repairs.
