Folks talk emergency supplies in Brunswick County
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Bread was what most people were talking about picking up tonight in Brunswick County. Folks were out at the grocery store picking up some last minute essentials before Hurricane Matthew.
“Not knowing what’s going to happen is a little bit worrisome,” said Lynn Nubel of Southport.
“A lot of bread’s gone, but there’s plenty of milk and plenty of water they had stocked up,” said Mike
Obrochta of Leland.
So you still have time to get out and make sure you have the essentials.
“Plenty of paper goods, get the shutters up, plenty of water. You can live days without everything else but plenty of water, toilet paper and paper towels,” said Nubel.
And perhaps the most important tip from storm veterans?
“You can always rebuild. If they tell you to get out get out, said Obrochta.
