Free flu shots to some Brunswick County residents

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Dosher Memorial Hospital is offering free immunizations against influenza on Tuesday, November 24th.  The flu shots will be administered at Dosher Medical Plaza from noon to 4 p.m. Appointments are required and can be made by calling (910) 454-4732.

Hospital spokesman James Goss says Dosher is offering the free flu shots to residents of Smithville Township who have been unable to obtain an immunization through other means.   Goss says Dosher provided nearly 250 free flu shots last year and expects to help a similar number of patients this year.

Dosher Medical Plaza is at 4222 Long Beach Road between Southport and Oak Island.
