Free health checks at the Azalea Festival Street fair this weekend

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– While enjoying the Azalea Street Festival, why not check on your health.

Cholesterol levels, blood sugar tests, and blood pressure checks, those are just some of the free health screenings Novant Health will have at the Azalea Festival Street fair this Saturday.

Elizabeth Forte is Novant’s Coastal Region Manager of Community Health Services, and she will on-site with her team. She says health test like this are a great way to get back on track with your health.

“Some people have not engaged with the health care system in years. There have been moments where people are learning to know information that leads to getting disease diagnosis or recognizing that they have to be more engaged with their care and start that wellness journey,” said Forte.

Forte and her team will be in downtown form 9 A.M. to 2 P.M.
