Friends and family celebrate life of toddler killed in accident

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Friends and family came together Saturday to celebrate the life of 2-year-old Mason Richardson.

He was killed in an car accident at the intersection of Oleander Drive and Independence Boulevard Tuesday.

Mason’s funeral was held at the New Covenant Holiness Church on Dawson Street Saturday.

Flowers, pictures, and memories filled the church as loved ones remembered Mason.

A memorial is also up near the intersection where the fatal crash happened in honor of him.
