BOLTON, NC (WWAY) — A man wanted on multiple felony charges across several jurisdictions is now behind bars in Columbus County.

According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Criminal Investigative Division were conducting surveillance in the area on Wednesday when they spotted a vehicle tied to Logan Fowler, a fugitive with outstanding warrants from multiple law enforcement agencies.

As detectives approached the vehicle, they were aggressively confronted by several dogs, and one detective was bitten. The detective’s injuries were not serious, and they are recovering, the sheriff’s office said.

Fowler allegedly ran from the vehicle after the dog attack. During the chase, detectives say they saw a firearm fall from his possession, which was later recovered. He was caught moments later after a brief struggle and taken into custody.

Fowler is currently being held without bond at the Columbus County Detention Center.

Authorities say he has been actively wanted by the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Highway Patrol Troop B District 5, and North Carolina Probation and Parole for a range of felony and misdemeanor offenses, some dating back to 2023.
