Furmidge scores twice as CFA advances to championship game over Gaston Christian 2-0

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) – In the NCISAA 3A semifinals, top-seeded Cape Fear Academy defeated Gaston Christian 2-0 on Tuesday.

Claire Furmidge scored both goals for the Hurricanes, the first happened midway through the 1st half.

The win gives CFA a berth in the championship game, which they will host on Saturday at 1pm. They will face the winner of Davidson Day School and Calvary Day School.
