Gas station, new town hall underway in Belville
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — In Belville, several economic development projects are making some progress.
A new Circle K gas station is being built on NC 133 across from the 17/74/76 ramp.
Belville Commissioner Joe Breault said the town is also taking bids to begin construction on the new town hall building right next to the Circle K.
“For a little town, we’re moving forward pretty well,” Breault said. “We are very proud of what we are doing. We are looking forward to getting a full-time planner on board, so we can do more detail work for our future, but I think the tax payers are getting a good bang for their buck right now.”
Breault said the mortgage on the new building will be the same as the rent the town is paying for its current building. He said developers are also working on building a restaurant and a three story hotel behind the gas station in Belville Commons.
