Gathering organized to honor the lives of those killed by ICE agents this month
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A gathering will be held in honor of the victims killed by Federal Immigration Agents in Wilmington on Wednesday.
Indivisible Wilmington announced on social media that the gathering will honor the lives of Keith Porter, Renee Good, and Alex Pretti, all of which were killed by ICE agents his month as well as honoring Grace Denk.
Denk was a veteran who was shot and killed by Wilmington Law Enforcement on January 28, 2014, when her fiancée called for help in a suicide attempt.
Black Lives Matter Wilmington and the New Hanover County Chapter of the National Black Leadership Caucus are hosting the event.
The gathering will take place at 1898 Memorial Park at noon.
