Get interactive at Wells Fargo Championship Social Media Hub

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Wells Fargo Championship features more than just golf.

You can get interactive at the event all week at the Social Media Hub.

The Social Media Hub is just on the other side of the Tee-ki bar. It is fully equip with sofas, charging stations, and a large wall of screens that show live tweets from people at the event.

WWAY Anchor Hannah Patrick saw several pictures she tweeted while she was getting video of the social media hub. If you tweet, make sure to use the hashtag #WellsFargoChamp in order to see it on the screen.

Abraham Martinez said the best part is the charging stations.

“Them giving me a chance to charge my phone,” Martinez said. “That’s pretty cool. I didn’t bring a charger so they provided me with a charger and seeing the different pictures on the wall. That’s pretty cool like seeing people that are actually here at this event.”

Organizers said the Social Media Hub began at TOUR events about three years ago and has been a huge success.
