Getting psyched up for South Columbus at Whiteville
TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — Whiteville will host South Columbus on Friday in a showdown game in the Three Rivers Conference. Both teams are on a roll. If fact the Stallions come in with a five game winning streak and an overall record of 7-2. “It’s a rivalry and that makes it a big game, plus it’s the next one,” South Columbus head football coach Russell Dove told WWAY on Monday. “Right now sitting at the top of the conference is us and Fairmont. Whiteville and St. Pauls both have one loss so the next two games are huge. Anything can happen, and we’ll work our butts off like we always do, getting prepared and ready and play as hard as we can on Friday night, we’ll coach our tails off and that is what we do.”
