Glamour in the Slammer raises $1,000 for Bladen We Care

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A few weeks ago people paid to go to jail, now that money is being passed on to a good cause.

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office donated $1,000 to Bladen We Care.

Bladen We Care is an organization that helps support local families and residents with unforeseen medical issues.

The money raised was through an event put on by the sheriff’s office Glamour in the Slammer.

Dozens of people, including county employees, judges, and attorneys turned themselves in as a training exercises. It helped jail staff work out kinks in the new detention center and raise money for a good cause.
