Good Shepherd Center receives grant, to build more affordable housing


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A group that does great work getting people back on their feet here in Wilmington was given a big gift Thursday.

The Good Shepherd Center’s Lakeside Partners program received a $125,000 grant from the TD Charitable Foundation.

The grant will be used toward phase two of the lakeside project which will add 24 additional affordable housing units for chronically homeless adults with a disability.

The first 16 units of the project were completed in July.
