Good Shepherd Center to distribute 250 Thanksgiving turkey vouchers

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Good Shepard Center is doing their part to help families in need with their Thanksgiving dinner this year.

On Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. the organization will distribute Thanksgiving turkey vouchers to local families during its weekly Grocery Giveaway at 811 Martin Street.

250 vouchers will be distributed behind the building under the carport, and they’re first come first serve.

Good Shepard Center says every Wednesday during their Grocery Giveaway they provide fresh produce, bread, and pantry staples to hundreds of households.

Good Shepard served over 130,000 hot meals to the community every year in additions to providing over 125,000 meals through their weekly giveaway.
