Gospel Explosion at Wilmington Church
It was a Gospel explosion at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in downtown Wilmington this afternoon.
The Redeem gospel group was one of the performers at the church. Organizers said they put the event on to help raise money for the church and to save souls. They added that gospel music is incentive for people to come to church. Members of Redeem agreed and added that Gospel music also helps build community and much more.
“It’s a part of God,” said Redeem member Kenneth Litmon. “God gave it to us through Jesus Christ and this is a way of uplifting him through music and song.”
In addition to Redeem, the audience heard three different solo performances from their fellow congregants.
