Great Food Truck race hits Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race has officially made its way to Wilmington, bringing a tasty showdown to the city. With three different locations around Wilmington, the action kicked off at the Slice of Life filming spot in downtown, where two food trucks set up shop for some friendly competition.
Cooking with Que served up mac and cheese and tacos, while Fat Food Company offered delicious cheeseburgers.
Anselmo Macias, who stopped by to try Fat Food Company’s offerings, was so impressed by their $25 Flaming Hot Burger that he went back for seconds.
“I tried the $25 Flaming Hot Burger. Yeah, I got one initially to split with my buddy, and we split it and ate it. But now I’ve got to get one to bring home to my wife!” he said.
Filming for the Great Food Truck Race will continue tomorrow from 1 PM to 5 PM, so be sure to check out the trucks and join the fun!
