Greenville Loop Rd. lane closures this week

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Portions of Greenville Loop Rd. will be closed this week as part of the city’s repaving project. Crews will be making drainage improvements along the road.

The crews will replace 4 drainage pipes that run under the road. This work will close sections of the road from 9:00 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. Crews will begin work at location #1 on the first night, then will work eastward toward Oleander Drive on each successive night, weather permitting.

Work on this phase of the project is expected to be complete by the end of July, and paving is scheduled to begin in early August.

The project, part of the city’s 5-year infrastructure improvement plan, is expected to be complete in October.
