Groundbreaking scheduled for Amazon fulfillment center in New Hanover County

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Amazon has announced a robotics fulfillment center is coming to New Hanover County, the first for the area.

The company says this will bring faster deliveries and jobs to the Wilmington area.

A ceremonial groundbreaking for the location at Pender Commerce Park is scheduled for next week.

According to a news release, local leaders from Pender and New Hanover County will join Amazon’s President of Worldwide Economic Development for the ceremony.
