Hampstead man accused of strangling woman

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect wanted for assaulting a woman.

54-year-old Ricky Lynn Bullard is charged with assault by strangulation, assault on a female, and interfering with emergency communications.

The sheriff’s office says the charges stem from an assault that took place in the Hampstead area one week ago.

His bond is set at just over $51,000.
