Hampstead man charged with child sex offense crimes

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Hampstead man is in the Pender County jail charged with several child sex crimes.

The Pender County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jason Robert Long, 37, on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say the victim is a 10-year-old.

Long is charged with the following:

• Indecent liberties with a child
• Felony disseminate obscenity to minor under 13
• 1st degree sex offense of a child
• Sexual battery

Long is being held under $760,000 bond.
