Hampstead teen faces child sex crime charges

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Hampstead teen is in the Pender County Jail under a $300,000 bond after he was arrested on child sex assault charges.

Wesley Adam Milliken, 16, is accused of committing the crimes against a 5-year-old.

Milliken, who was listed as a runaway from Pender County Department of Social Services Foster Care Program, was charged with the following offenses:

• two counts of felony First Degree Statutory Sex Offense
• one felony count of Indecent Liberties with a Child
• one misdemeanor count of Sexual Battery.

The Sheriff’s Office says these charges were the result of an incident that was reported on May 8.
