Health and Human Services offering school-related health services

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – To assist families in need of required school health services, New Hanover County Health and Human Services is extending clinic hours for school-related vaccinations and adding a new date for those interested in receiving a Child Health Assessment.

For the school-related vaccines, no appointment is required, and all vaccinations will take place at Health and Human Services at 1650 Greenfield Street in Wilmington.

If families have insurance, they are asked to bring their insurance card with them. The extended hours of operation will occur on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, September 16 from 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, September 23 from 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 25 from 8 a.m.-7 p.m.

Additionally, Health and Human Services will be offering Child Health Assessments on Saturday, September 27 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

These assessments will also take place at 1650 Greenfield Street and appointments can be made by calling 910-798-3500.
