Heat for the Holidays: Bringing comfort to a New Hanover County woman

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington woman will be extra warm this holiday season thanks to a new HVAC system courtesy of Fulford Heating and Cooling, Cotton’s Electric, American Standard, and CrossCountry Mortgage.

Angela Drayton was this year’s Heat for the Holidays winner. She was nominated by her family.

“The winner of the 13th annual Heat for the Holidays giveaway is Ms. Angela Drayton of Wilmington. Ms. Drayton has been without heat for a couple of years. She’s been using space heaters which caused a small fire in her home. Her family nominated her because she is a loving and caring lady who works hard and is always going above and beyond for everyone else. They would love for her to win so that they can once again spend the holidays together in her home, ” said Kelli Childress, Fulford Heating and Cooling’s Sales Coordinator.

After being surprised at her door Friday morning, Drayton said, “I am overwhelmed…overwhelmed…thank you all so much…I thank everybody that nominated me.”

Justin Fulford with Fulford Heating and Cooling said, ” It is just a warm feeling to be able to give back to the community and help out families during the holiday season.”

“Our jobs are to help people get in homes and she obviously ahs her home already but we want it to be warm for her so now she has that and she’ll be nice and cool in the summer,” Suzanne Neblett said.
