Help foster kids have an egg-celent Easter with Basket Bonanza!
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Next weekend, you can celebrate Easter two weeks early with ‘Basket Bonanza: An Egg’stra Special Foster Pantry Event’.
Zen Rosen is a senior at Hoggard High School and as part of his senior project, he’s teamed up with Foster Pantry, a community closet for foster parents. The goal for Basket Bonanza is to have a stuffed Easter basket or backpack for every child in the New Hanover County Foster care system. Emily Klinefelter with Foster Pantry said there are more than 400 foster kids in New Hanover County.
On Sunday, March 18 from 2-5 p.m., you can stop by Foster Pantry at 6841 Market Street Unit B. to drop off donations and help stuff the baskets and backpacks.
