BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. (WWAY) – It was a historic afternoon for South Brunswick girls lacrosse, but bittersweet as the Cougars lost at home to Hoggard on Thursday 19-6.
Senior Morgan Hill entered the game tied for the most career goals in Brunswick County history. Just 2:23 into the contest, she scored goal number 150 to take the record for herself. It was the game’s first score and Hill would finish with four goals overall.
After that however, the Vikings dominated by putting up five goals in the next five minutes.
Genevieve Osborne of the Cougars also managed to eclipse 400 saves in her career during the game.
