Hoggard beats WPA 65-39, remains undefeated

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Hoggard girls basketball improved to 8-0 on Tuesday with a 65-39 home win over Wilson Prep Academy.

The Vikings started slow and trailed midway through the 2nd quarter before finding their groove.

Tristan Shivers and A.K. Chance led Hoggard with 17 points each.

“Every single team in year’s past, we’ve had a super strong family,” Chance said. “I think this year tops any of those teams. We have a stronger bond with each other than ever. Just keep playing together, using the fuel from our two losses in the last Final Fours. Just taking care of business and doing what we do.”
