Hoggard captures volleyball tournament crown in Mideastern Conference

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Hoggard Vikings defeated the Topsail Pirates 3-0 in volleyball on Wednesday night in the championship game of the Mideastern Conference. Hoggard has a slew of regular season volleyball titles from previous seasons, but this is Hoggard’s first conference tournament title because this was the first time the conference held a conference volleyball tournament.

The state playoffs begin on Saturday. Hoggard and Topsail will both open postseason play at home.
