Holiday Train Expo makes annual return at Independence Mall

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)– The Christmas season is officially in full swing, which means the Cape Fear Model Railroad Society’s Holiday Train Expo has made its annual return.

The holiday train expo is fun for the whole family with 12 layouts, over 30 running trains, and festive holiday decorations. It’s located inside of Independence Mall on the Dillard’s wing.  

Barry Lantz with the Cape Fear Model Railroad Society says this will be the perfect way to kick your holiday spirit into gear. 

“People of all ages come and see the trains. We have people from grandparents, to parents, to kids, all ages have a great time here!” said Lantz.  

The expo is open on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 pm starting November 25th. 

They will be closed on Christmas Eve and Day, but will open back after on December 26, 27, 30 from noon to 5 pm to keep the holiday magic going.  

It costs $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for children, infants are free, so the club can keep the tradition going.
