Hometown Hires merges with Phoenix Employment Ministry

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Hometown Hires and Phoenix Employment Ministry announced that they have joined forces at a press conference today. The new organization is called Phoenix Hometown Hires and will have offices located in the Jo Ann Carter Harrleson Center downtown.

The union comes in an effort to help more people gain access to better employment opportunities, personal stability, and create a greater sense of hope throughout the community. According to leaders with Phoenix Hometown Hires, business leaders throughout the community believe that having one organization to work with, hire from, and support financially is beneficial to the community.

Will Rikard, Executive Director of Phoenix Employment Ministry, will continue as Executive Director of Phoenix Hometown Hires.
