She said police were called to the Hardee’s on Highway 17 Bypass in Horry County on Saturday because a homeless man was asking people for their scraps to eat. She said the man was not causing problems, but she thinks a customer called police about him.
The Horry County police officer who responded did not make any arrests or tell the man to leave, but instead bought the homeless man some food and “handled the situation amazingly,” she said in her posting.
