Horton to face Rouzer in November race for US House  

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Republican David Rouzer is seeking his third term in the US House of Representatives this fall. But to continue representing most of southeastern North Carolina in Washington he will have to hold off a Democratic challenger.

Doctor Kyle Horton has been campaigning against Rouzer for about a year and it looks like it has paid off. She easily won today’s Democratic primary with about two-thirds of the vote over Grayson Parker.

“I think it’s time for a change. I think that folks are really ready for someone who is going to put people first over politics, who is really going to put country over party,” Horton said.
