Human foosball draws a crowd for a good cause
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Locals kick up some fun for a good cause. Cape Fear Sports alongside the Wilmington Hammerheads hosted a charity human foosball tournament Tuesday night.
Local celebrities like downtown business owners and Miss North Carolina United States Jessica Halso were downtown at the Husk competing to raise money for Nourish NC.
“So we are raising money for Nourish NC which feeds kids in the Wilmington community which I am really excited about because my platform is feeding the 5,000 which feeds kids in Nicaragua, so I just think ending the cycle of poverty is very important especially right here in my community,” said Halso.
Cape Fear Sports is an organization that gives adults a chance to play in sports leagues, that include traditional sports like golf but also offers nontraditional sports like human foosball.
