Investigators still waiting on Paitin Fields autopsy report

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — It’s been almost two months since 5-year-old Paitin Fields died from an assault.

WWAY reached out to the Pender County Sheriff’s Office for anymore details. The Pender County Sheriff’s Office said they’re still waiting on the autopsy report to come in.

Medical examiners said they have 180 days to complete the autopsy, which means they have roughly about four months until they have to release the details of the autopsy.

There are still no arrests in the case.
