Island Arts Council’s ‘Clay Community Healing Arts’ for cancer patients

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Island Arts Council is introducing a new program designed to help cancer patients in the community.
“Clay Community Healing Arts” will offer therapeutic art workshops free for island residents navigating cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
The workshops will promote wellness and creative expression while working with clay in a supportive environment.
Sessions will start in February and run through March with 8 sessions each with up to 8 participants starting at 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Applications are accepted from December 15th, 2025, through January 15th, 2025.
The project is supported by a Grassroots Arts Program grant from the Arts Council of Wilmington and New Hanover County and a donation from Stoked Restaurant from their second annual Ty Cobb King Mackerel Tournament.
