Ivanhoe man sentenced for kidnapping, indecent liberties with a minor

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – A 22-year-old Ivanhoe man is going to prison after pleading guilty to 1st Degree Kidnapping and Indecent Liberties with a Minor.

An investigation showed Sam Sanchez and the 15-year-old victim had a sexual relationship for five months. Sanchez would also pick up the victim from school without her mother’s permission.

Judge Tripp Watson sentenced Sanchez  to between 44 and 113 months in the Department of Adult Corrections.  He must also register as a sex offender for 30 years.
