James Beard-nominated chef opens new restaurant in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY-TV) – An award-winning chef has opened a new restaurant in downtown Wilmington.

Keith Rhodes, a two-time James Beard nominee soft launched his new bistro, Voyce, earlier this month.

The restaurant is located at 11 Market Street in downtown.

The bistro is named after Rhodes’s grandparents – Vergie and Royce.

Rhodes says the bistro aims to serve a twist on coastal Caribbean cuisine.

“So far things have been really great we’ve been packed everyday here and I’m looking forward to serving the downtown community just keeping people excited about food,” Rhodes said.

Rhodes recently closed his popular restaurant Catch with hopes of relocating in the new few months.

The grand opening for Voyce is planned for the end of January.
