Nearly 30,000 jogging strollers recalled due to fall hazard

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — There’s an important recall of strollers for parents to know about.

Around 28,000 Jeep brand cross-country jogging strollers are being recalled because the stroller leg bracket can break and cause kids to fall out.

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, the 3-wheel strollers are made by Delta and have “J is for Jeep” printed on the side of the stroller sun canopy. There is a star with a circle logo printed on the front bottom of the seat and on the side of the stroller. The model number and lot number are printed on a Delta Children label with a blue heart at the left bottom frame support.

They were sold at Target, Walmart and other stores between 2015 and 2016.

The CPSC says there have been four reports of the leg bracket breaking and at least one child fell from a stroller and suffered cuts and bruises.
