WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — A pair of local athletes are once again getting set to give back to their community.

The 10th Annual “Kickin’ It with the Barth Brothers” camp will take place on Thursday at Scott Braswell Stadium. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.

Hosted by brothers and Hoggard alums Connor and Casey Barth, their goal is to teach the participants how to kick a football in every way they would in a game.

Connor Barth spent a decade in the NFL. The younger Casey Barth spoke with WWAY about what those who take part can expect.

“We like to treat it like a training session that Connor and I would go through,” Casey Barth said. “We start with a good dynamic stretch and warm up. Then for roughly the next two hours, we go through placekicking. We have guys punt, some kickoffs. Really try to cover all phases of place kicking and punting. Even try some snapping if some guys are interested. Try to have a good time and teach them as much as we can.”

The cost of the camp is free and open to kids of all ages. There is no need to sign up in advance.

Campers will also receive a free T-shirt. Casey Barth says around 75 will be available. He said a little more than 50 kids showed up last year.
