Kids Making It announces grand opening with ribbon cutting ceremony at new location in Burgaw
BURGAW, NC — Kids Making It, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through hands-on woodworking and mentorship, announced the grand opening of its second location with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday.
This is the first expansion site of their after-school program – a program designed to inspire creativity, build skills, and foster a sense of entrepreneurial spirit among teens.
“Kids Making It is more than just a woodworking program; it’s a safe place where kids can learn, create, and grow,” said Kevin Blackburn, Executive Director. “We believe in the potential of every child, and we’re committed to providing the tools and guidance they need for long-term success.”
The program offers woodworking, life skills training, and mentorship, aimed at helping children ages 13-18 years old develop confidence, teamwork, and vocational skills.
