Families try to solve ‘Mystery at the Museum’

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Museum opened their doors Saturday for families to help crack a case of “whodunit?”

Families were asked to become detectives, search for clues, and conduct scientific investigation to find out who robbed the Museum’s store.

For the eighth year in a row, ‘Mystery at the Museum’ engages kids in science and problem solving through a pretend crime scene investigation. They used their senses and observation skills to find out who committed the crime.

Families interviewed potential suspects and completed science experiments for a hands-on learning experience.

“It’s a great way for families to learn together,” Amy Mangus Public Relations Specialist. “What we really want to see is the parents helping the kids solve the mystery. We don’t want them hanging back on their phones and taking pictures. We just want you to really get in there and play around with the kids and learn science with them.”

‘Mystery at the Museum’ is going on until 4 p.m. Saturday.

You can find the calendar of events happening at the museum, here.
