Kure Beach identifies man killed in surfing accident
KURE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Kure Beach has identified the man who died at the beach on Friday night.
According to a news release, Bryan Richard Yurecka, 39, of Wilmington died after being injured in a surfing accident.
It happened just after 5:30 p.m. on August 23. EMS, police and fire crews responded to the 600 block of North Fort Fisher Boulevard in reference to an unconscious man on the beach.
No word on how the accident happened.
