“Ladies Rock the Lake” at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheatre

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–It’s International women’s month, and at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, it was filled with women owned businesses.

At the Amphitheater, the “Ladies Rock the Lake” event was held, where several women owned businesses were on display, like woodcarvers, jewelers, and even food trucks.

The event also included music by Emily Burdette and Olivia Gillaspie, who performed for the guests on the stage.

All guests were welcomed for free, and could play games, win raffles, or even learn from a self-defense class.

Heather Wood Snyder, the organizer of the event, says there is no better way to support women entrepreneurs, than being all together.

“As women we all just need to empower each other and lift each other up. How can we do that, how can we support each other?” said Snyder. “It’s by showing up for each other. All the vendors that are here, we didn’t charge them a booth fee. Brighter days, Rude Bwoy’s, no booth fees, we just want to support these businesses.”

Every dollar raised at the event goes directly to the “Domestic Violence Shelter and Services,” in Wilmington.
