Laney and New Hanover advance to 4-A east semifinals in soccer

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Could Laney High Schooland New Hanover High School meet in the 4-A east finals early next week? It is certainly possible if they both keep taking care of business on the soccer field.

Laney 2 – Apex 1
Wesley Nelson and Jack Brarens both scored for Laney.
Laney will face Broughton in round 4 of the state playoffs later this week in Raleigh.

New Hanover 3 – Sanderson 0
Shaffer Lisle, Jack Kiernan and Declan Payne scored for New Hanover.
New Hanover will face Cardinal Gibbons(more than likely) later this week in round 4 of the state playoffs in Raleigh.
