Laney blows out Pender 72-5
BURGAW, N.C. (WWAY) — In their first game of the new year, Laney girls basketball picked up a road win over Pender 72-5 on Monday.
The Bucs were led offensively by Sofia Clayton with 20 points while not allowing the Patriots to score a single time in the 2nd half.
Lucy Devane and Julia Pepper each recorded six steals, just behind Clayton’s seven.
Laney will next visit Ashley on Tuesday and Hoggard on Thursday as Carolina Coast play truly begins.
