WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — With a week to go until conference play, Laney boys soccer continued their hot start with a 3-1 home win over Wallace-Rose Hill Tuesday.

Cooper Raney opened the scoring for the Bucs while Carson Swain added another in the 1st half.

The Bulldogs managed to cut the lead in half with under a minute to go before the break.

Just two minutes out of halftime, Grady Luckadoo managed to knock in a header to give Laney that insurance goal back.

“We’re all positive, even if we get scored on,” Swain said. “We just stay positive, and that’s how we win games and stuff. We’ve been playing good through these eight, nine games. We just got to work harder. We barely even get scored on, so just score more goals and work hard.”
